My Spirit Dances

breathing the universe
 dancing its song
I leap and spin
becoming drunk upon the eons converging
into a whirling vortex
that sweeps me up and scatters me

atoms fly in all directions
 forming chaotic configurations
  with my cerebral cortex

   the faster I spin
 the less dense I am

I begin to rise
 a tornado gaining momentum
 a crescendo of delirium
e x p a n d i n g
 transcending boundaries of size and dimension
 existing beyond light speed where comprehension fails

  still the song evolves
infinitesimal, I am stretched beyond recognition
 into some paradox
of incredible magnitude
until all I know of the Universe
 is that word
the Word that set the dance in motion
  the call of evolution
my  spirit dances in exaltation
to the one and only motivation
for existence

  the Universe sings and I MUST dance
I MUST answer, " YES ! "
